Z-axis built

Confronting the design challenges in constructing the Z-axis was daunting at first. Given the vertical aspect of the stage, the force of gravity cannot be relied upon to keep the stage from coming off the rails. To address this challenge, additional bearings were installed on each side to secure the stage and prevent it from falling off when it moves up and down.
